I am a lawyer specialising in civil law, covering succession law, family law, property law, and contracts and consumer law.
Before going into practice I worked as a legal advisor at the European Parliament for seven years, mainly within the Committee on Constitutional Affairs.
That experience allowed me to take part at first hand in negotiations on the adoption of European legislation, including the drafting, negotiation and adoption of legislative amendments. In particular, I was involved in preparing legislation on institutional matters of the European Union, such as transparency measures for the European public sector, as well as rules governing relations between the European institutions.
Working at the heart of the European Union has given me direct knowledge of the influence that European Union law, and in particular the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), has on legal practice. That influence is especially relevant in areas of civil law such as consumer protection, unfair contract terms, civil liability and insurance.
Today I bring that experience to my practice, offering a service that is personal, rigorous and oriented towards obtaining the best possible outcome for each client.
